In the eternal development of the modern world, our vital energy has been tamed by the excessive comfort of life. Within this asphyxiating paradigm, our blue queen wanders through urbanity as an ambassadress for those longing to re-awaken their animalism. Do current times allow for the resurrection of our natural substance, or are we destined to live as a paradox, both as animals and as urban beings? Through fashion, one of the products of our present society, ‘Bleu Reine’ visually manifests this interrogation.

Parisian film artist: with his Max Future music video premiering on Nowness and a history of collaborations with renowned rap and hip-hop artists, Akim has thrived on a unique eye and ear for the dialogue between music and visuals. Today, he has combined this with an increasing interest in expression through fashion imagery. Reaching for all edges of the cinematographic prism, a rich aesthetic instinct and a caméra épaule always within reach, Akim is sculpting his poetics into a unique stylistic trademark and releasing his first wholly personal film.
‘Bleu Reine’ is a beginning :a communication of what is to come.

A film production house and digital content integrated agency based in Paris founded by Orel Simon, SPOA works with the most important labels and luxury brands alongside directors with a unique aesthetic outlook. Akim is one of their most significantly up-and-coming artistic collaborators, and SPOA is now following him dedicatedly through his transition into personal work. From written conception to post-production, ‘Bleu Reine’ was completed with the innovative energy and creative trust of a Los-Angeles based talented team. It is a manifestation of the art of adaptation and of grasping opportunities; a work built upon a sequence of present anecdotes, taken as they come. The SPOA – AKIM L.A. partnership promises to be a long and special one indeed.
